Artifaax is an independent design studio created by artist and designer Denise Brillon.

Denise began designing original t-shirts in the mid-1990s with a simple idea: casual clothing could be both expressive and elevated. At the time, she owned a beautiful Jacqueline Conoir suit and imagined pairing it with a t-shirt featuring one of her West Coast inspired designs. She asked a local printer to screen print the artwork in hot pink on a fitted baby tee — and the shirts sold out almost immediately.

That moment sparked a creative path that continues today. From laser-cut acrylic jewelry to silver hand-cast pieces, Denise has always explored ways to create distinctive, one-of-a-kind designs.

Artifaax now returns to that original inspiration with a renewed focus on thoughtfully designed pieces made in Canada and produced in small, carefully chosen runs. Each garment features Denise’s original artwork developed over many years, including new designs inspired by fashion, nature, personal journeys, and the enduring strength of women.
