“It’s not just style, it’s
tradition you’re taking home with you when you purchase
an Artifaax piece,” says designer Denise Brillon. With
today’s abundant choices in fashion, consumers are looking
for more than face value. They are looking to combine function,
style, and comfort with socially responsible materials and Brillon
believes there is no better way to support this initiative than
to buy an Artifaax eco t-shirt made in Canada .
“As a small First Nations company, I try
to design clothing that is relative to today’s consumer.
I believe people want to know who is making their clothing and
what they are buying. Our line of eco t shirts is small but focused.” says
designer Denise Brillon. “We produce limited edition t
shirts that transcend culture with the environmental movement
and more importantly we are proud to produce our line in Canada
.” She believes when you buy an Artifaax piece you are
investing in culture, in Canada , and in North American Peoples.
Brillon believes the design world will become
more refined. “I use to think that I had to produce whole
lines for every season but I think for many designers, especially
in Canada , that concept is just not feasible. We take the time
to create and organize our line so it has sustainability in not
only materials but in design comfort.” When you purchase
an Artifaax t shirt you are buying a limited edition product
that is not mass produced. The company does limited runs and
special care is given to the choice of materials, the cut and
graphics of the design.
